Iron Man 2 Minimates coming to Amazon. Here’s the line-up:

Lt. Colonel James Rhodes & Air Assault Drone
Mark IV Iron Man & Whiplash
Mark V Iron Man & War Machine
Mark VI Iron Man & Ground Assault Drone

To be dependable, I’m not overly harebrained about these. Out of 8 figures, most of us already have 6 of them. 4 of them were available in the first TRU assortment, same pairings and everything. If you missed out on the army detersive builder case, then the drones are a nice addition, but if you bought the army builders, then you’re probably set on these.

It seems to me that a Final sputter Whiplash could have taken the place of first appearance Whiplash (and probably could have been collected from existent parts, if money was a problem).

A battle flyblown Mark V could have taken the place of regular Mark V, since Tony took some damage in that specific suit (and it wouldn’t have cost any more to assemble than the standard version). If you wanted to round those sets out with rehashes of the Mark IV and War Machine, fine.

If you wanted to round those out with the other drones, fine. Either way, it would make for more of a must have feel. The fact that the TRU exclusives are notoriously shortpacked compared to the other Marvel Minimate sets fashion that the shelves will be clogged with excess Iron Men when its all said and done, since half these sets are blatant retreads.
